The presenters are prominent capacities in the addressed fields of specialization. The topic is not only research into sign language, but in particular its importance for the various walks of life of deaf people. Moreover always fascinating implementations make clear that this new discipline represents an innovative force for other specialized sciences, such as psychology, neurology, medicine, cultural science, computer technology etc. A special focus is provided by several very topical presentations on bilingual education of deaf children in oral, written and sign language.
